The power of music is known to the people who experience it. Good SAHITYA combined with divine MUSIC can take the listener to a different world of ecstasy, peace and sense of fulfilment. We experienced the same on the pleasant Saturday evening of 21st June. It was a music evening ANTHARANGA with Shankar Shanbhogue and his grp. His disciple Meghana , who gave the vocal support , has a bright future. . My school parents were waiting for this program since last year , after we organised VIKASANA for children. Though it was a public program, parents and children were special invities. . His selection of songs varied..... from Purandara dasaru to Santa Shishunala Shariff to kannada poets to folk songs.... Each had a message , which was conveyed through the language of music and set different moods among the audience. The very ambience created by my teachers, at the back stage ( the Saraswathi idol, portraits of great composers, musicians ) added divinity to the already vibrating atmosphere. . Looking forward to many more such programs in our school.
