Rajyotsava celebration


The school celebrated 58th Kannada Rajyotsava with much of ardor and zeal on 8th November 2013. Karnataka is well known for its culture and tradition. Various competitions were conducted for Kannada and Non - Kannada students like Quiz, monoacting, singing and creative writing. Almost all the children have participated and Kannada books were distributed as prizes for the winners of the competitions. Later few cultural programmes like group song by the students of classes III - IV and V, VI. Speech on significance of Rajyotsava by Ananya of IX std. Kumara Vysa Bharatha vachana by Chenna Keshava of X std. Nachiketha of VIII std enacted a popular scene from Kalidasa and it was a "splendid performance" This was followed by a dance by V std students for our nadageethe "Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujathe" written by our well known writer Kuvempu. The programme was concluded with speech of our principal Mrs.Lakshmi Murthy which was very informative. She stressed on the language of Kannada and its importance to the children and programme came to an end with a vote of thanks by Yashawanth of class X.
